MOSAIC invites you to participate in a survey to help them understand the level of interest in volunteer leadership roles as well as potential barriers that newcomers face.

YOUR VOICE MATTERS!

Immigration into the Lower Mainland has transformed the region into one of great ethnic diversity. More than half of the population speaks a language other than English as their first language. With a population so diverse, more representative voices in social and civic decision-making groups are needed.

What is civic engagement?

Civic engagement means working to make a difference in the civic life of our communities and developing the combination of knowledge, skills, values, and motivation to make that difference. It means promoting the quality of life in a community, through both political and non-political processes. (Source: The New York Times)

Your participation in this survey will help us understand interest, reasons and potential barriers faced when wanting to be on committees and boards. We hope to learn from you so we can create opportunities and remove barriers to civic engagement.

Please fill out this survey to help us learn more about your experience with civic and social engagement; this will take approximately 5-10 minutes.

Please note that by completing this survey, you are consenting to participate in this research. All information collected from respondents is kept strictly confidential*

Thank you for your valuable time and for sharing your thoughts.
