Programs for Newcomers and English Language Learners @Port Moody Library

The Port Moody Public Library offers many programs for newcomers and English language learners.

SHARE English Language Practice Group

A free, drop-in conversation circle for learners to practice their speaking and listening skills. For people ages 19 and older. This program is facilitated by SHARE Family & Community Services.

Program dates and times

Friday mornings
9:30-11:00am
Drop-in. No registration required.

Adult Learners’ Book Club

If you love to read and want to practice your English skills, join this special book club for English language learners.

Pick up the book of the month in advance at the Accounts Desk at the Library.

7-8pm

Library Champions

NewToBC offers volunteer opportunities for new immigrants to help other new immigrants.

Become a Library Champion volunteer to improve confidence and communication skills, make new friends, and get to know the Library and other services available in your community.
