The Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants (Career Paths/CPSI) program is an employment and skills upgrading program for Internationally Trained Skilled Immigrants. The program assists Permanent Residents and Refugees in finding employment that fully utilizes their pre-arrival skills, experience, and education by providing customized action plans, Canadian work experience, networking opportunities, improving English proficiency, and providing support to navigate the process and financial cost of certification in British Columbia.
Program Eligibility
- A Resident of BC at the time of service
- A Permanent Resident of Canada, no more than 10 years
- A person who is awaiting PR Status, per letter from IRCC
- Convention refugees and protected persons outside Canada who have been selected for resettlement in Canada by IRCC – Letter of Decision
- Participants to have pre-arrival management or relevant experience in Corporate/Retail/Hospitality/Financial sectors
- Intermediate Level of English (CLB 6 or above)
- Candidates who completed a degree in English are considered ‘Fluent’ in English, so no assessment is required.
