For newcomers to the Tri-Cities: This will be a great opportunity to gain a better understanding of hiring practices from local employers. It is also an event to help newcomers to get familiarized with different workplace cultures, navigate the Canadian job market, and share challenges you may have faced in your own job search process. Lastly, the event will facilitate building new connections with employers through roundtable exchanges, workshop sessions, and networking.
For employers: Is your organization seeking to adopt more inclusive hiring practices to diversify the team? We invite HR professionals, recruiters, and managers to come to share your organization’s talent recruitment processes and team culture. In addition, you will also hear from newcomers’ first-hand perspectives to gain a better insight into common barriers that newcomers face when job searching, and how they inform developing inclusive hiring practices.
