Conflict is a normal part of life and can arise in many settings—between family members, neighbours, colleagues, and within our communities. Mediation offers a practical and proactive way to address disputes with the support of a neutral third party. In this session at the Capilano Library (North Vancouver District Public Library), Kate Fleming, an Associate mediator from Mediate BC will introduce the basics of mediation and explain how the process can work, when it can be helpful, and the kinds of situations it can address.
Participants will also learn simple tools for navigating difficult conversations. Whether you’re currently facing a conflict or simply interested in strengthening your communication skills, this session will offer practical insights and resources, followed by time for questions.
