Date: Tuesday, February 10th
When: 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Local or municipal governments are the closest level of government to communities. They have a significant impact on our day-to-day lives, so it’s important to know how they work! Learn how to get involved in Burnaby Public Library‘s Civic Engagement Series.

Municipal issues might not get the attention that provincial and federal policy receives, but they are still incredibly important. Learn how to build and wield power to influence local decision-makers by gaining frameworks to form an effective grassroots campaign to drive change.

Presented in partnership with Women Transforming Cities (WTC).

WTC is a registered charity that aims to radically shift social, economic and political power to equity-deserving groups to reshape who cities are built by and for so that communities’ needs are met and everyone can belong, participate and thrive.
