Understanding Medical Services in Canada: in-person workshop for refugee claimants and asylum seekers (Pashto / Dari language support)

Join the Safe Haven program at DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society Learn the differences between the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) and Medical Services Plan (MSP).

In this workshop for refugee claimants and asylum seekers, you will:

  • Get the facts about your health care coverage and how to access
  • the services you need
  • Understand the difference between IFHP and MSP coverage
  • Learn what medical, dental, vision and prescription services are included
  • Receive guidance on how to access doctors, clinics and specialists
  • Know when and how to transition from IFHP to MSP
  • Connect with community supports and resources

Free bus tickets and snacks will be provided. Multiple dates with language support offered in:

  • August 19th: Spanish
  • August 28th: Punjabi / Hindi
  • September 4th: Pashto / Dari
  • September 18th: Arabic
