In Punjab, the Bhangra dance is performed to celebrate festivals and holidays, such as Vaisakshi, as well as important occasions, such as weddings. It is a traditional folk dance of Punjab and is best performed to the beat of a dhol (drum) or to upbeat music. Come learn more about the role of Bhangra in the South Asian community in this fun and interactive cultural session. You will learn some basic Bhangra steps to get you moving and dancing.
