B.C.’s population dropped by more than 2,400 people in the first six months of the year, according to recent StatCan data.
B.C. was the only province in Canada where the population declined between April and June, and the province’s birthrate remains the lowest in the country, according to recent Statistics Canada data that shows the impact of changing federal immigration policy on B.C.’s population.
