Located in Lower Gibsons overlooking Gibsons Harbour. The library is located next to the Museum, Arts Building, Gibsons Town Hall, the Health Unit, and local School District offices. Lower Gibsons has many cafes, commercial shops, and a marina. The library is accessible by public transit (see: BC Transit: Sunshine Coast Transit System).

- The library has an outdoor deck where visitors can sit, relax, and enjoy the view of Gibsons Harbour.
- The Library of Things (LoT) is a collection of non-traditional library items available for the community to borrow for free. These items might be rarely used, hard to store, or expensive, such as electronic equipment, musical instruments, or household tools.
- Through inter-library loans you can borrow books in a variety of languages. Ask the library staff how you can borrow books from other libraries and get them delivered to the Gibsons & District Public Library.
