The Burnaby Festival of Learning is back for another year of weeklong celebrations of learning. In conjunction with Simon Fraser University, the City of Burnaby, School District #41, and the Burnaby Public Library, you can find free events scheduled throughout the city of Burnaby to engage you. Events range from performances, to lectures, discussions, debates, and book launches attracting audiences of children to seniors.
This festival offers a wonderful opportunity for you to become familiar with your city. You can discover services, locations, and meet others at:
The Burnaby Public Library with events including:
- ‘Origami for Adults’ (May 7th),
- ‘Science’s Secrets to Greater Happiness’ (May 8th), or
- ‘Computer Basics for Seniors’ (May 10th)
Simon Fraser University with events including:
- Robotics Workshop (May 9th),
- Building a Social Media Vending Machine (May 9th), or
- Garden And Grow (May 11th)
Confederation Community Centre with events including:
- Move for Health Day (May 10th), or
- Walk With Your Doc (May 10th)
Burnaby Village Museum with events including:
- BC Heritage Fair (May 12th), or
- Indigenous Archaeology (May 13th)
Stoney Creek Community School for the Great Salmon Send-Off (May 13th).
