Libraries in BC have collections of materials in many different languages. You can find books, music, newspapers, magazines, and on-line resources in more than 66 different languages! Each library has different materials in different languages. There are materials for children, young people, and adults. Some libraries have large collections and some are smaller.
This inventory lists collections in the 24 languages spoken most by people living in BC. You can search “all libraries” to see out where collections in different languages can be found or you can search by language and by community. Once you have found the language collections you are interested in, you can visit the library or use your library card to have materials delivered to your home library via interlibrary loan. Many libraries have materials in languages other than the 24 listed here. To find out, ask staff at the library in your community.
