Space is shared with the school library at Abbotsford Senior Secondary School, dedicated space for kids and teens,quiet reading lounge, self-serve technologies that make checking out and returning library materials fast and easy, accessible, public computers, printer, photocopier, Wi-Fi.
Location:
Located off Bevan Avenue in the Abbotsford Senior Secondary School, next to the Sweeney Neighbourhood Centre, close to Mill Lake Park, accessible by public transit (see BC Transit: Central Fraser Valley Transit System).
Parking:
Small parking lot available near the library and neighbourhood centre. Large parking lot also available closer to the school entrance and within a short walking distance.
Interesting Tips:
- The library shares the same space with the secondary school library. The general public can use the school library space in the evenings and on the weekends.
- Library Live and On Tour is an innovative, stereotype-shattering literacy initiative developed by Fraser Valley Regional Library that “delivers the library” to people who do not know about libraries or have some obstacle to visiting them.
- The Playground at FVRL offers customers of all ages free access to fun and engaging STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) related learning experiences. The Playground features lending collections and in-library experiences.
