Building:
A 4,000 square foot library, part of the Aldergrove Kinsmen Centre. Large front windows provide a well-lit reading area for customers.
Features:
The Aldergrove Library is a family-oriented, accessible, customer service driven library that offers a reading area, Wi-Fi, internet stations, word processing station, and a large upstairs hall that can be booked through the Township. It features a wide variety of family programs and clubs, many of which (like our annual income tax assistance program) focus on assisting people needing some form of economic help.
Location:
The Aldergrove Library is adjacent to the Aldergrove Community Senior Secondary School (ACSS), a private day care, as well as recreation facilities and an Athletic Park. There is also a skating arena within walking distance. Come skate, enjoy a hot chocolate at glorious Milseans Chocolate Factory, and walk over to the library to relax with a great read. The library is accessible by public transit (see BC Transit: Central Fraser Valley Transit System).
Parking:
Ample free parking beside or in front of the library.
Interesting Tips:
- The Fraser Valley Regional Library (FVRL) has a “floating collection” that allows customers to access materials in any of the 25 libraries and reserve items at no cost.
- The library participates in Aldergrove Fair Days, held on site each summer.
- The library hosts Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) Volunteer income tax clinics each spring.
