What does the Skilled Immigrant InfoCentre do?
The InfoCentre and its staff helps skilled immigrants find the information they need to start working in British Columbia. The Centre helps immigrants understand:
- the local labour market
- wages/salary
- the role of industry associations
- credential evaluation
- job search strategies
The Centre offers free Employment Programs and refers users to other services, agencies, professional associations, and organizations as needed.
SIIC programs are free and cover job searching, including accessing the hidden job market, starting a small business, and exploring other careers.
The SIIC resources are available online at pwp.vpl.ca/siic/ and in person at the Vancouver Public Library, 350 West Georgia St, Level 4.
Library staff can help you in person, on the phone, or by email.
Who uses the Skilled Immigrant InfoCentre?
