Skilled Immigrant InfoCentre (SIIC)

The Skilled Immigrant InfoCentre is an online and in-person centre that helps immigrants to find the information they need to explore careers and begin their job search. All of the InfoCentre’s services and resources are no cost and offered by the staff at Vancouver Public Library (VPL).

“I would like to tell you how thankful I am for having discovered VPL’s career workshop for skilled immigrants. Before attending the workshop, I was considering survival jobs in the retail or foodservice industry. The workshop has given me the tools and the confidence to pursue a career instead. I hope you can keep up and continue the great work and invaluable service you give to new immigrants.”

“This week and after two months of job search I was offered a position in my profession in the industry I am truly passionate about. I do not think I would have made it without the help and support of few services among which the SIIC.”
