Building:

A 4,000 square foot library, part of the Aldergrove Kinsmen Centre. Large front windows provide a well-lit reading area for customers.

Features:

The Aldergrove Library is a family-oriented, accessible, customer service driven library that offers a reading area, Wi-Fi, internet stations, word processing station, and a large upstairs hall that can be booked through the Township. It features a wide variety of family programs and clubs, many of which (like our annual income tax assistance program) focus on assisting people needing some form of economic help.

Location:

The Aldergrove Library is adjacent to the Aldergrove Community Senior Secondary School (ACSS), a private day care, as well as recreation facilities and an Athletic Park. There is also a skating arena within walking distance. Come skate, enjoy a hot chocolate at glorious Milseans Chocolate Factory, and walk over to the library to relax with a great read. The library is accessible by public transit (see BC Transit: Central Fraser Valley Transit System).

Parking:

Ample free parking beside or in front of the library.

Interesting Tips:

  1. The library provides exam proctoring (invigilation) services on an appointment basis..
  2. Library Live and On Tour is an innovative, stereotype-shattering literacy initiative developed by Fraser Valley Regional Library that “delivers the library” to people who do not know about libraries or have some obstacle to visiting them.
  3. The Playground at FVRL offers customers of all ages free access to fun and engaging STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) related learning experiences. The Playground features lending collections and in-library experiences.
