Hosted by the Saskatoon Open Door Society (SODS), the culturally enriching event will feature over 40 speakers, including Chief Cadmus Delorme, former Governor General Michaëlle Jean, award-winning author Kim Thúy, CBC news anchor Ginella Massa, CBC “The National” correspondent Omayra Issa, along with musicians Kiya Tabassian and Ablaye Cissoko of the acclaimed ensemble Constantinople.

“This year marks the 40th anniversary of Saskatoon Open Door Society’s incorporation, and we are excited to have such a diverse range of speakers to celebrate with us,” says Ali Abukar, SODS CEO. “Our organization started in the early 1980s by meeting the needs of Vietnamese refugees coming to Saskatoon, and today, the Saskatoon Open Door Society is playing a critical role in assisting refugees from Afghanistan to settle in our beautiful city and call it home. We are both thrilled and grateful to have helped so many newcomers to our community.”
