Building:

The roundhouse design of the building reflects Port Moody’s railway history.

Features:

Fireside reading area, group and silent study rooms, free Wi-Fi, computer stations with printing, photocopying and scanning services, local art display, dedicated children’s area with iPads, and interactive play and learn panels.

Location:

Located in Port Moody Civic Centre complex adjacent to City Hall and the Inlet Theatre. Close to Newport Village, Port Moody Recreation Centre and the Inlet Trail. The library is accessible by public transit (see Translink).

Free parking available on site.

  1. You can borrow family storybook kits in different languages at the Port Moody Public Library.
  2. Port Moody is the City of the Arts. Local artists from the Tri-Cities area can showcase their work at the Library.
  3. In 1988, the Port Moody Public Library became the first public library in the Lower Mainland to offer Internet access to its customers.
  4. The Port Moody Public Library White Pines Local Author collection highlights local authors, poets, and illustrators in the community. Books are added to the special collection for a year and are promoted on social media, website, and at an annual gala in the spring.
